Final of S.East Young Start-up Talent initiative

At the start of the year, Mario Carrozzo, our Group CEO, and Akeel Alidina, our Managing Director, took part in an annual speed-networking event in Crawley for Young Start-up Talent (YST), an entrepreneurial initiative in the South East. YST is a community-based project aimed at young entrepreneurs aged between 16 and 25 years old, who are looking to start their own business.

The event invited a selection of young entrepreneurs, from around the region, to pitch their business ideas on a 1-2-1 basis to each of the business professionals that attended the event.

The candidates had just ten minutes to convince the judges not only of the feasibility of their business, but also that they had the passion, drive and entrepreneurial flair to bring the idea to life. After a long debate, the judges and sponsors made the difficult decision on which five businesses would make it through to the final to pitch for a prize of business products and services.

Today, as one of the business sponsors for the local area and a judge on the panel, our CEO Mario Carrozzo will have the pleasure of attending the virtual event to find out who, out of the pool of five very talented young entrepreneurs, will be the lucky winner.

The prize fund is made up of a range of business products and services, which provides the chosen winner with all the vital support and guidance they need to start up their businesses, ensuring a more sustainable future for everyone involved.

Caridon would like to wish the very best of luck to Logan Leckie, Anthony Mellor, Ayush Sanghavi, Carmel Kalani and Zak Lloyd.

Both Mario and Akeel were extremely impressed by the enthusiasm and drive of these young individuals and look forward to seeing them succeed.
