CEO of Caridon Group Tackles 250km Ride in Goa

24th February 2025

CEO of Caridon Group, Mario Carrozzo, has successfully completed the Most Exotic Bicycle Tour 2025, a gruelling 250km cycling challenge across Goa, from 4th to 9th February 2025, in support of the British Asian Trust. Carrozzo’s incredible effort has so far raised £28,123 towards his target of £30,000, contributing to the collective fundraising total of more than £450,000, greatly surpassing the event’s ambitious £400,000 goal.

The Most Exotic Bicycle Tour (MEBT), now in its seventh year, is an annual event that brings together business leaders, philanthropists, and cycling enthusiasts to raise funds for marginalised communities across South Asia. The funds generated will go towards initiatives supporting education, mental health, economic empowerment, and social equality.

Reflecting on the challenge, Mario Carrozzo said:

“This journey has been nothing short of life-changing. Cycling through Goa’s stunning landscapes was incredible, but more importantly, every kilometre covered was a step towards transforming lives. I got to experience first-hand the phenomenal work that The British Asian Trust does, and I am so grateful to have played a small part in their mission to uplift vulnerable communities.”

Caridon Group, a leading property and housing solutions provider based in Croydon, was also an official sponsor of the event, reinforcing its commitment to social responsibility beyond the housing sector.

“At Caridon, we believe in making a meaningful impact. Whether it’s providing much needed housing or supporting vital causes like this, our goal is always to improve lives and I’m always looking for new initiatives and causes we can support” added Mario.

The challenge saw 16 cyclists navigate a demanding four-day route through Goa’s diverse terrain, enduring intense heat and humidity while immersing themselves in local culture and charitable engagements. The journey took riders through Loutolim, Palolem, Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Panjim, and Mandrem, with key moments spent meeting children who have benefited from the British Asian Trust’s programs.
