Caridon Property Forms Partnership with Citizens Advice Harlow

5th May 2020

Caridon Property, part of Caridon Group, has formed a partnership with Citizens Advice Harlow to provide their tenants with access to further support during the Covid-19 pandemic and beyond.

Although face-to-face services are currently suspended in order to adhere to government enforced social distancing restrictions, residents at Caridon properties in Harlow now have a dedicated telephone line where they can access advice and support directly from Citizens Advice Harlow advisors. The direct service is available on Mondays and Wednesdays between 1pm and 4pm, but residents can also use the general advice line number and website outside of these hours.

Mario Carrozzo, CEO of Caridon Group, parent company to Caridon Property, comments “In such uncertain times we know that people are even more concerned about their family, employment, Universal Credit and other benefits, but many do not have someone they can turn to for support. Our onsite managers have been working around the clock, offering 24/7 access to residents who are anxious, need essential supplies or simply want someone to talk to. We hope that having the additional support of Citizens Advice Harlow will help provide further reassurance that help is available.”

Once restrictions are lifted, Caridon Property plans to facilitate having a Citizens Advice Key Worker on site at their Harlow properties for residents to get support with a range of matters from benefits to consumer advice.

Ayub Khan, Chief Executive Officer, Citizens Advice Harlow, said: “Our volunteers have been working closely with Caridon Property for some time, but we are now in a position to expand the service and strengthen our partnership to benefit the residents. We plan to make this a long-term partnership which will help tenants take positive steps for their future, be that by gaining access to the right benefits, improving their skills or seeking employment.”
