Caridon Foundation Eagles in Successful Millwall Outing

To help celebrate World Mental Health Day on Thursday 10th October the brand new Caridon Foundation Eagles, six-aside football team entered the Millwall Community Trusts six-a-side football festival at the Lions Den, as the chosen Palace for Life community team.
After only a few months of playing together, we were the newest team and went straight into a tournament against teams that had been established for years. We played some fantastic football, winning three and drawing one of our four group matches. The semi-finals awaited the team, but the draw saw us pitched against the veterans of the tournament. Unfortunately, we were up against the very experienced and robust L&Q Living who beat us en-route to winning the final but we are proud to have reached the semi-finals. Imagine what we'll do next time with a few more matches under our belt.
